The May Club meeting will be held on the 8th @ 7pm – at the Clubhouse. Bring a camp chair. We might not have enough on hand.
Mowing has begun – range closed on Wednesdays while the gate sign says “closed” (usually until ~ 2pm)
The gravel project is complete – speed limit of 10 mph STRICTLY enforced!
The EC has coordinated with Watauga County Soil and Water to get Meat Camp Creek rehabilitated. Contract cleanup through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will come to the creek this spring. The trucks are fairly common in the High Country these days. The fellow at the Soil Office will try to let me know before they show up. I will update this page when I have information. They will clean debris and trees from the creek.
This contract ends in June. The next step after debris clean up is creek assessment for erosion control. This is a state program. I will keep you informed.
We are in the process of adding two speed bumps to the driveway.
Range Hours – 8AM to 8PM except Wednesday (8AM tp 6PM) and Sunday (1PM to 6PM) – open year round.
