Third Saturdays - WGC-IDPA matches begin in January with the Winter Pistol Frolic that is held regardless of the weather. February is our annual IDPA safety officers class, March is a classifier and pistol match then the season starts in earnest in April and runs through October. The discipline hosts one major match each year which attracts 200+ shooters to the Boone area for the event.

Trap Discipline

The Trap Discipline of Watauga Gun Club hosts ATA matches and a league match series each summer.

Fourth Saturdays: Practice sessions Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons April through November.
